Radiation of Catholic Liturgy into Catholic Homes for Advent and Christmas

For our second November show, Tara Lewis and I prepare for Advent and Christmas by looking at the Catholic liturgical background of both Advent and Christmas. Almost every tradition has a deep and rich Catholic history, and so much of what we do during both of these seasons has become secularized. Learn why our Christmas tree is completely religious in its origins. Know the difference between St. Nick and Santa Claus. Delve into the beauty of the first Christmas crèche. Enjoy the sweetness of your candy cane both physically and spiritually. Christmas truly celebrates the birth of Our Savior, but we must make sure that we understand each traditions' liturgical meaning.

This show will air on Wilmington Catholic Radio's three stations, 91.7 FM, 93.1 FM, and 103.1 FM on Saturdays at 11 am and Sundays at 6 pm on the third and fourth weekends of November.  You can listen on-line live by clicking on the Listen Now tab.  Or, listen 24/7 by going to the Carolina Catholic tab and clicking on the show page.

St. Michael the Archangel

Wilmington Catholic Radio is an apostolate serving the Catholic Church and consistently operating in accord with the principles and truths of the Catholic Faith as expressed in Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition and the living Magisterium of the Church. Our goal is to always provide the community with solid Catholic teaching so Catholics can have an easy way to learn more about their faith, and for non-Catholics to learn what the Church really teaches. This is our mission.
